    Description

This is a vintage political advertising paper fan. From 1964, with "Vote Republican" slogan on front, along with the GOP elephant mascot bursting through the door. From the Miami County (Ohio) Republican Committee. The back has headshots of several candidates, including Bill McCulloch for U.S. Representative, and several state and local candidates as well, such as sheriff and coroner. Please see photos. The fan does have several condition issues. Top corners on front have significant wear, with top layer of paper having come off. Also several smaller spots where parts of top surface missing. Looks like may have been damage from bugs eating it. Back has similar damage as front, though more extreme. Does affect some of the candidate photos. Some staining/soiling along right edge on back. Back also has a stained mark that looks like may have been on old rubber band laying against it. That stain does go through to the front. Fan is solid, and it still looks nice, but definitely not a pristine example. Please see photos, and if you would like more views, let me know.
