REPUBLICAN ELEPHANT glazed ceramic 1969 mug FRANKOMA Nixon Agnew RED ORANGE

Description

Offered for bidding is a beautiful glazed ceramic MUG made in the shape of an elephant. It was made by Frankoma for the 1969 Republican Presidential campaign, and bears the names of the candidates, Nixon and Agnew.  It is made from reddish terra cotta ceramic, with a bright and glossy red-orange glaze outside, and a smooth white glaze inside. The bottom is marked FRANKOMA as shown in the third picture.  It was made in Oklahoma, U.S.A.
The mug stands 3 3/4 inches (9.5cm) tall, and measures 2 7/8 inches (7.3cm) in diameter at the rim.
This mug is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or wear. The glaze has no visible fading or discoloration.  There are TWO of these mugs available at this time; price is for ONE mug
