  • Condition: USED-------.No chips or cracks, but it has some mould scratches lines on the bottom of the base (so called straw marks).......Most of the tops of the ruffles are pushed down a little (at one such ruffle, there is a pin point area that didn't completely fill out with glass---need a magnifying glass to see and hard to get to show up in the pics)...I feel these things all occurred in the making process, but should be mentioned for accuracy.....

    ITEM DESCRIPTION::
    ----Pretty  example of a scarce piece of old Northwood glass...This type of custard glass pre-dates carnival glass and was probably made between 1890 and 1910....No chips or cracks, but it  has some mould scratches lines on the bottom of the  base (so called straw marks).......Most of the tops of the  ruffles are pushed down a little (at one such ruffle, there is a pin point area that didn't completely fill out with glass---need a magnifying glass to see and hard to get to show up in the pics)...I feel these things all occurred in the making process, but should be mentioned for accuracy.........
    ..........This large bowl is  approx 9.625" wide across the top, with a base of   4" across, and sits 2.625" high.......
    .........Cannot see any of the N inside a circle (Northwood trademark) on the inside of the base.................. Item glows under a black light...
