Lamp Antique Vienna Bronze cold painted - rug merchant on a camel
Offered is a wonderful Vienna bronze lamp.
Two leaves are detached from one of the trees, but they are included and loose.
In my research I have not found this particular lamp represented. It is heavy - the base is 13" long and approximately 7 1/2" wide. It is 14" tall to the top of the tallest tree. It consists of a base with two trees with the leaf fronds forming the cover of the lamp bulb. The cord is wired to the tallest tree. The cold painted figures include a resting camel with a saddle draped in a red, blue, orange and fringed cover. There are red decorations on the animal's head. There is a coiled leash from the camel to the figure sitting on the ground next to its head. The figure is of a Bedouin with a beard and wearing a blue, red and gold cloak, shoes with turned-up toes and a head covering of gold and red. It could use a cleaning to get all the dust that has accumulated over the years.
The lamp works! However the bulb base is loose as shown in the last photo. Aside from that and the detached leaves it is in overall very good condition with no additional damage or missing parts. The piece is quite heavy so be aware of how that will reflect in the shipping.Thanks for looking!
