    Description

    Antique Rare ARTWARE Paperweight
    THE JENNINGS BROS. MFG. CO.
    This is a rare item for the sportsman’s desk, and called
    “ARTWARE OF DISTINCTION.” It is a paperweight or ashtray in the form of a FISHING CREEL. It is a fine example of bamboo texture and features a trout on the lid! This 3” item is heavy (not magnetic) and has the original paper label on the bottom felt; stamped c. JB 1259. It has a
    COPPER WASH color.
    I have not tried to clean the slight discoloration spots inside
    (see pic), not wanting to take away from the 2-tone bronze
    look it has. Otherwise, the condition is very good. (I have another one that has the tail broken off.)
